Newbie with an abs issie

Hi guys n gals .new on here had an abs issue ongoing for a couple of weeks and now the pump has just started to leak ..question is on 59 plate facelift (old shape ) 2 ltr petrol does the pump need coding ?? Or can i source one in a breakers love the car but a new one is extortianate and probably worth as much as the car
